In addition I used the power adapter and not the battery (since I'm on a MacBook Air, not applicable to you. I obeyed the rules from my previous post. I installed the latest macOS 11.3 that was released last night (and contains further M1 optimizations). I decided to do a final validation once again. If I recall correctly Nicholas Piegdon, the maker of Synthesia said something about Windows 10 updates almost breaking his app on some occassions. There is and always will be, new technology coming, and I can't really blame music software producers for having a hard time keeping up. Modartt being an exception with Pianoteq in this case, and may I say well done by them, regardless of what opinions people may have on Pianoteq. Nobody (well maybe some) are complaining that piano VST manufacturers in general, do not make their products runnable on Linux. Isn't that what Raspberry Pi CPUs are also based on? Apple M1 computers are an entirely new thing, based on the ARM architecture. They don't say the Garritan CFX will never support the M1 (standard?), only that more testing needs to be done. Apple's Rosetta 2 is showing promising results and we have seen no major issues with this but more testing needs to be done. We do not consider these machines within our current system requirements and do not offer technical support for this. (Emphasis: TheodorN) At this time, we do not recommend using Garritan products with these computers. We are continuing our testing with the production models of Apple's M1 based computers.
